Fennec Fox Drawing

Yes, I know, I haven't been blogging. I'm a lazy bum, I admit it. But it's not like anyone's reading, so it's not a big deal.

I haven't done much crafting lately. All I've done is worrying about university and getting broke paying for tuition and textbooks (who knew textbooks can be so expensive! I think it's all a evil scheme by the publishers).

What I did do over the summer is reading lots of DK's animal books for children. Even though they're for 10 year olds, I still enjoy reading them. I saw a super cute fox in one of the books, and decided to add it into my sketch book. Hope you like it!

Bluffer's Park

This past Saturday, we went to Bluffer's Park in Toronto. When we lived in Toronto, we used to come here often. But after we moved, we just didn't have time to visit the park. The park is just as beautiful as I remembered. The blue sky, the seagulls, the sailboats and the cliff...

Learned New Origami Roses!

I love long weekends. Don't you? We went to see some waterfalls in Hamilton. They were really beautiful.

But before the long weekend, I learned to fold new types of origami roses. I really like the green one and the light peach one. Some were quite tricky to fold, but the results are stunning.

Yeah! I'm really happy. Now I can fold new roses!

I followed the instructions here.  So if you're interested, go check it out. You can also learn to fold other cools things.

Food Club Meeting

Me and three other friends have a little Food Club where we cook and eat food. They were over at my house this morning. They just left and I'm posting some pictures of our little food adventure. I totally forgot to take pictures of all the food we had, but luckily, I have a second plate of the sticky rice chicken left and I snapped a few quick pics.

We had the sticky rice chicken (it doesn't look very appealing, but tastes pretty good) and glutinous rice balls with sweet red bean paste filling. A Chinese food feast. Yeah! And since it's a super hot day here, we decided to make ice cream using ice and salt. It just didn't freeze for some reason, but we drank it anyway. Beth made some caramel sauce and we had it with actual ice cream. We finished the rest of the caramel by dipping apples into it.

Now I'm really full. Looking forward to making ravioli next week!
